THE CHI CENTRE COURSE:
COLON HYDROTHERAPY INTERMEDIATE LEVEL(24 HOURS)
COLON HYDROTHERAPY INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
This course is designed for practicing colon therapists only.

Course duration: 4-day intensive, 32 tutored hours. Mandatory pre-course study should amount to between 20 and 40 hours depending on the initial level of competence.

What is included: Pre-course interview; course workbooks, all disposables, tuition and practicals; course exam and certificate.

Optional extras: I-ACT Intermediate Certification fee, currently $75

Certification: CPD Certificate and I-ACT Intermediate Certificate for I-ACT members only (subject to payment of fee and I-ACT exam results)

The purpose of the Intermediate Colon Hydrotherapy course is to develop deeper understanding of anatomy and physiology and digestion and eliminations (stools), as well as learn to apply this understanding to the practice of the colon hydrotherapy.

The anatomy and physiology section of the course will focus on

The deeper insight into role of each section of the alimentary canal.
The specific role in digestion and elimination of accessory organs that support the alimentary canal:  teeth, salivary glands, tongue, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, spleen and kidneys.
The enervation and innervation of the large intestine.

The digestion section of the course will focus on the review of the main food groups and the role of each organ in the process of digestion. The following will be covered:

Elimination of carbohydrate, fat and protein-related wastes.
Constipation and diarrhoea as two most common digestive disorders, their relation the innervation of the large intestine and their types, origins and management.
Stools as reflection of the effectiveness of the digestive system.

Six clients will be treated during the course, with the special emphasis on the consultation before the treatment, client involvement in the healing process during the treatment and aftercare discussion and suggestions.
