FOUNDATIONS OF BODYWORK FOR COLON HYDROTHERAPISTS
This is a post-graduate course specifically designed to enhance the business of colon hydrotherapy practitioners.
Course objective: As colon hydrotherapists, we are always looking for better ways to educate our clients and help them manage their health in a more effective manner. The objective of this four-day course is to provide colon hydrotherapists from non-bodywork background (for example, nutritionists, doctors, nurses, yoga teachers, homeopaths and similar professionals) with bodywork tools that will enable them to enhance their colon hydrotherapy treatments.
Business rationale: The next five years are going to be the time of differentiation in the colon hydrotherapy sector, with more educated and competent practitioners squeezing “cottage industry operators” from the marketplace. By combining bodywork with colon hydrotherapy treatments, you will be able to increase your revenue per each client without increasing your overheads.
Skillset rationale: Most of your clients world benefit from adding to the colonics the elements of massage, reflexology and aromatherapy. This course will provide you a way of meeting these needs of your clients which would often result in a more effective colon hydrotherapy treatment and a better release and hence better client satisfaction overall.
Course outline:
The course will contain:
- Overview of foot reflexology and reflex zones related to the digestive system with two practical sessions.
- Overview of aromatherapy and oil mixes for different digestive conditions (external application) with two practical sessions.
- Practice of main massage moves - effleurage, petrissage and tapotement.
- Practice of Body Wraps - Aromatherapy Wrap and Mud Detox Wrap.
Five case histories must be completed for the certification.
Certification: CPD Certificate Bodywork Fundamentals for Colon Hydrotherapists.
