THE CHI CENTRE COURSE:
COLON HYDROTHERAPY INTERMEDIATE LEVEL(24 HOURS)
COLON HYDROTHERAPY ADVANCED  LEVEL
This course is designed for practicing colon therapists only. Attendance and successful completion of the Intermediate course in the Chi Centre are mandatory for this course

Course duration: 4-day intensive, 32 tutored hours. Mandatory pre-course study should amount to between 20 and 40 hours depending on the initial level of competence.

What is included: Pre-course interview; course workbooks, all disposables, tuition and practicals; course exam and certificate.

The purpose of the Advanced Colon Hydrotherapy course is to acquire deeper understanding of the origins, symptoms and implication for colon hydrotherapy of gastrointestinal disorders as well as the role of colon hydrotherapy, herbal preparations, nutrition, bodywork, stress management, NLP. Hypnosis, acupuncture and exercise in the management and reduction of symptoms of these disorders.

The following disorders will be the subject of the course:

Haemorrhoids (internal and external);
Rectal abscesses, fistulae and fissures;
Parasitic infections;
Yeast imbalances;
Abnormal growths, herniations and intestinal obstructions;
Irritable colon;
Diverticulosis and diverticulitis;
Appendicitis and peritonitis;
Inflammatory diseases of the bowel.

On completion of the Intermediate and Advanced courses, the student should be able to:

Understand in greater detail the functions of each part of the digestive system with special emphasis on the action or reaction of enzymes, acids, bases, amino-acids, hormones, etc. on the specific part or organ and the result for the body on the whole.
Have an understanding of the interactions of foods, vitamins and minerals throughout the alimentary tract.
Describe digestive system disorders, and understand their implication to the colon hydrotherapist.
Be able to explain the reason each disorder may be contraindicated, or if indicated for colon hydrotherapy, be able to explain why that disorder is indicated.
Describe the innervation of the alimentary tract, the small and large intestine, and the mechanism of defecation.
Describe, in detail, the arteries and veins that supply the intestinal tract, including the small and large intestine.
Understand the concepts of dysbiosis and malabsorption, leaky gut syndrome and yeast infections including Candida albicans.

The student will also be able to apply this knowledge immediately to her or his colon hydrotherapy practice.
